  • The Jungle Book (1894) - Disney based their 1967 animated movie on this collection of short stories.
  • Just So Stories (1902) - These tales were published as a collection of origin stories aimed at young children. Stories such as How the Leopard got his Spots and How the Camel got his Hump are part of the Just So Stories.
  • Wee Willie Winkie and Other Child Stories (1988) - This collection of tales included favorites such as Baa Baa, Black Sheep as well as the title story.
  • Puck of Pook's Hill (1906) - Yet another collection of short stories! Puck of Pook's Hill is a historical fantasy book that explores different periods in history.
About Rudyard Kipling

Born in 1865, Rudyard Kipling was a poet, short-story writer and novelist from England. He wrote a lot about British soldiers in India, as well as writing for children.

In 1907, Kipling was the first English person to receive the Nobel Prize In Literature. He died of ulcer-related health problems in 1936.
