Rudyard Kipling died as a result of a haemorrhage caused by a perforated duodenal ulcer. He was born on 30th December 1865 and died on the 18th January 1936, making him 70 years old at the time of his death. His ashes are buried in Poet’s Corner in Westminster Abbey, where many other famous poets, playwrights and writers are buried.
