Slaughterhouse 5, started out as him writing his memoirs from world war 2 but because kurt vaunighut suffers from scizophrenia, went if totally different direction. I do like Stephen King, but he makes so many error in his books, sometimes hard to read. I wonder who is editors are as they should correct a lot of misinformation. Mind you, Gerald's Game by Stephen King had me peeking round my shower curtain for a few days
How bout blind fear by lyn abercrombie?? You might like that one.
I would recommend Dracula by Bram Stoker. And there is a children fiction series called "the saga of Darren Shan" by Darren Shan.. And another children series called "the Demonata" by the same author as the saga of Darren Shan. There is also a movie being released this year on one of the book from the series of the saga of Darren Shan.. you should really read them! I just love the series! XDDD
Before King became a writer, I did Assimov. The "Robot Series"
I am an avid King reader, I love his work, Koontz is good too. Hope you might pick up a few Kings though. Edge of your seat reading.
I think my favorite Sci-Fi books are the Artemis Fowl series and His Dark Materials.
I;m a huge Sci-Fi fan, but my all time favourite has got to be "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. It is both very clever and very funny.
