The poem The Echoing Green is written by William Blake which is taken from his collections of poem called Songs of innocence. It is a pictorial poem. It is a symbolic poem and draws a contrast between youth and old age. It starts off in a happy and joyful mood and with the passage of each stanza the language and the mood becomes more and more sad and bleak.
