Blood Brothers is a musical by Willy Russell, and is based on the 1844 novella The Corsican Brothers by Alexandre Dumas.
The story revolves around a pair of twins who were separated at birth, and each raised in completely different environments. The main characters are as follows:

- Mickey – the twin who grows up with his impoverished birth family, unaware that he has a twin brother.
- Eddie – the other twin. Eddie is raised by his rich foster-mother, Mrs Lyons.
- Mrs Johnstone – A single parent and mother of the twins. She has seven children and no money. Mrs Johnstone worked for Mrs Lyons, but gets fired because Mrs Lyons doesn’t want her anywhere near Eddie.
- Mrs Lyons – Eddie’s foster mother. She convinces Mrs Johnstone to give her one of the twins when they are born, and refuses to let her have anything to do with the boy whilst he’s growing up. Mrs Lyons does not want the twins to ever meet.
- Linda – Mickey’s love interest
- Sammy – Mrs Lyons’s horrible son.
