As long as you ensure that the letter has formal language and a formal layout, you are not going to go wrong. It is going to be within your interests to know who you are writing to (if not, use sir/madam) to ensure that you are going to be taken seriously. Ensure that you include your reasoning for closing the account and include many different contact details that they are going to be able to get you on if they have any further questions.

• Policies
Before you write the letter it is going to be within your interests to ensure that you know the bank's polices when it comes to closing a loan account. This is going to mean that you are going to know the different areas that you can write about to ensure that you are going to be able to close the account successfully without trying to breach any regulations.

• Word process
It is going to be very important that you word process the letter that you are wiring. This is going to ensure that you can have the standard layout with the two addresses at the top, and that it is going to be as neat as possible. You are also going to be able to correct any mistakes that you may have written and therefore have the best letter possible.

Ensuring that you are as explanatory as possible within your reasoning is going to allow the bank to review your loan account from both points of view and you are going to be able to have the result that you want. It is going to be pointless writing a letter that is not going to get you anywhere and therefore you are not going to be able to close the loan account that you have with the bank.
