Books can be read for free, by borrowing them from your local library, or they can be easily read online. There are plenty of websites that provide free reading material, such as www.readprint.com/ and freebooksread.blogspot.com/ To find your chosen book, you have to put either the name of the book, The Outsiders in this case, and/or the author, S. E. Hinton. If you have an iDevice, for example an iPhone, you might be able to read your chosen book for free via Apple's app; iBooks, however you will have to download the book onto your phone and it is possible that iBooks would not have your chosen book in their library. You could also download the Amazon Kindle app for your iPhone; itunes.apple.com/us/app/kindle/id302584613?mt=8 The Kindle's library is bigger than iBooks' library and more of the content is free. The kindle app is also available for Android smartphones and tablets. If you find the screens on smartphones and tablets too small and painful for the eyes, you can always go and purchase an eBook. Many eBooks, such as the Amazon Kindle; www.amazon.co.uk/Kindle-Wireless-Reader-3G-Wifi-Graphite/dp/ These machines use e-ink which is more comfortable for the eyes and most eBooks comes with huge library of free books.

The Outsiders was written by S. E. Hinton. The book is based in 1965 on Tulsa, Oklahoma. The story starts off with a boy, an outsider, who gets into trouble with a gang of kids known as Socs, which consists of wealthier children. He is then saved by two kids who are part of the rival gang he is in, known as The Greasers, which consists of poorer children. Through out the novel the two gangs fight each other to prove which is the better gang.

The book has also been adapted into a film with the same title, starring Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze and the film was released in 1983. The film can be seen for free on websites, such as www.watch-movies.net.in/, however it is illegal to watch pirated movies or you could watch it on television when it shown.
