I think the Robert Parker series of Sunny Randall books would be a great mini-series or cable series. Parker was the guy who wrote all the "Spenser For Hire" books. As for a movie, the non-fiction book "Girls Like Us" about the lives of Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, and Carole King would make a fascinating movie.

I think the the Malorie Blackmen Trilogy of 'Noughts and Crosses' should be turned into film as they are extremely good and are about inequality. Making them into sad but interesting to watch

The Camulod Chronicles by Jack Whyte, (10 books in all, I think) is a phenominal take on the Arthurian ideals, from when the last Roman Legionares decided to stay in Britian as Rome was crumbling.

Excellent stuff...

Also, "Without Remorse" Tom Clancy's best book ever...

It has been made into a tv series years ago, but I would love to see it made into a film, just a bit darker.

You got that absolutely right. Especially with the visual effects they can do in the movies these days. (That and the Trashcan man played by the actor who was Max Headroom in the '80's is a very poor actor).

The Artemis Fowl books by Eoin Colfer. I loved the first book. I heard that it was to be adapted to film, but that was some time ago. I'm patiently waiting!
