How should I write a nice letter to a ex boyfriend?

- Acknowledge your past mistakes, and apologize for it.

- Speak from your mind, and say that you have had some shortcomings, but that you still need that person.

If you let your emotions shine throughout the letter, then it is sure to touch hearts.

Funny, I've had the same issue with some of my friends. I'm glad that you're braver than I am, I could never tell that person... I hope I'll be able to confess at one point, but for now, I wish you good luck.

For starters I wouldnt send a letter, I would talk face to face .. I would simply ask if he would like to spend some time so we can get to know each other better. But that is just me.

If you really feel a letter will suffice .. Start off with an apology. Apologize for rejecting  his friendship previously and explain yourself about why you did that. Tell him you'd like a 2nd chance and you hope you CAN be friends .. I wouldn't suggest to tell him you NEED his friendship .. That sounds far too "needy" and may freak him out because that is not how friendship works.  Friendship is offered as a gift .. Offer him yours and hopefully he will reciprocate.

Write this, "I feel I should be a better friend to you, than I probably ever will be. I've lost something valuable: Contact with you."
