What's the difference between web design and graphic design?

Web Design:

The selection and coordination of available components to create the layout and structure of a Web page.

Graphic Design:

The art or profession of visual communication, that combines images,words and ideas to convey information to an audience, specially to produce a specific effect.

Web design is a similar process of creation, with the
intention of presenting the content on electronic web pages, which the
end-users can access through the internet with the help of a web browser.

Graphic design is art with a purpose. It involves a creative
and systematic plan to solve a problem or achieve certain objectives, with the
use of images, symbols or even words. It is visual communication and the
aesthetic expression of concepts and ideas using various graphic elements and
tools.
