The Diary of Anne Frank describes what goes on in the Annex or the hideout place for Anne Frank and her family for two years. She talks about the difficulties living in such a tight space, how it the life in the Annex and such. However, the diary has no mention of life inside the concentration camps because Anne did not take it with her. Night is not a diary since it was not kept at the time. Rather, it is memories of Elie Wiesel's experience in Auschwitz. It deals with concentration camps and staying alive. Both have a different tone, Night is darker while I find the Diary of Anne Frank a little bit more hopeful, even though we know what happens at the end.
