The internet can hold some options but do not rely on it! There are too many organizations and people willing to take advantage of a girl with your ambitions. There are library books on how to get a reliable agent, and better yet, look the e-mails of some locally. Don't throw yourself at them, but approach them professionally. Ask how one would break into the acting business...

OK! What you need to do is make a list. When you get to getting an agent look up agents in your area or places close to your area. Your welcome.

Hey I live in Palmerston North as well here's what you can do go and do drama and dancing because that will help with application forms but when you find a drama school make sure they do exams and port folio pictures .If you do well they send your pictures and qualifications to either Wellington or Auckland from there you will get transferred to a movie studio then someone will be in touch with information or an audition but even if its small it pays big trust me.If you get the part then you get agents and they keep transferring you after your movie is done. A bit of advice the place to go is tall poppies drama school but whether you take this advice is up to you and even when it gets hard don't give up and trust me it gets hard.    So I hope this helps all those future actors and actresses out there

You should google ontario talent agencies and find a good one thats close by. Sign up, go in for an interview and then hopefully they will accept you into your agency. You must also be PATIENT your not going to get a job like two days after getting in an agency! (unless your really lucky...) I'm with an agency and I haven't gotten much work. But I still have been called up for auditions and I've been in some comercials. It also depends on were you are because' In the country I'm in the only work you will really get is commercials or the occasional role in a tv series. So also DON'T GIVE UP!
