Between them, Ernest's three sons went on to father twelve grandchildren for the writer!

Ernest Hemingway was also known to have kept a six fingered cat called Snowball in the family home. The descendents of this cat actually still lives in the same house (which is now a museum dedicated to Ernest's life)!
