This is a very sweet and religious poem written by a great poet of his time and one of a kind. This simple and lovely tale is briefly told in easy and flowing rhymed couplets. The dominant word is peace. Peace, beauty and happiness prevail right through this deeply religious poem. This poem begins, as ABOU BEN ADHEM wakes up one night from his sleep because of a little light in his room.

As he wakes up he sees a little light coming from the corner of the room, as he reaches near it, he sees a little fairy writing something on a book of gold. He asks her that what she is writing on it, the fairy tells him that she is writing the names of those who love the Lord. On hearing this ABOU BEN ADHEM asks if his name is there, and the fairy replies with a no. he gets disappointed, but with a brighter and happier tune he asks the fairy to write his name of the list of those who loves the Lord's fellow men.

The fairy writes his names and vanishes away. the fairy reappears the next time with a list of those who loves the Lords fellow men, and ABOU BEN ADHEM'S name tops the list. This is a little poem which shows that God loves those who love and helps Lords creation.

One day adhem woke from a nice and peaceful dream . He saw a rome shining when he went in to that room ,he saw an angel writing somthing on the book of gold. He asked angel what he was writing. The angel replied that he was writing the names of those people who loves GOD.
Then adhem said with a smile face that he also pray to GOD and love him too so he should write his name to.
The angel did what he said and disappread. Next day   angel came with a more light and show the names of those people who were loved by god and thus ADHEM was at top of the list
