I think I've mentioned this before, I like the smell of a musty book and prefer that over a new book or reading electronically.
Would you rather read an old vintage book with that “old book” smell or a brand new book that has never been opened?
I read a lot of new books, but I really love finding an old gem of a book at a thrift store or yard sale. I love the look, smell, and mystery of an old book .... I always wonder where it's traveled.
I don't care for the smell of a musty old book although the vintage is intriguing.
I love the smell of a virgin new book. I also love the smell of a morning newpaper. The smell for some reason is more intense in winter. Lol...I've been teased about sniffing my newpaper on the long walk up my driveway.
I like old and new just a good documentary i love
I don't like the musty books, but the dusty ones are fine. I like to read mysteries and holding the page in anticipation of what is going to happen next. Older books sometimes make me leery of holding them as I don't want to damage them.
I don't care! I just like books.
I have only bought new books or had them given to me. But after reading some of these questions I think I am gonna have to try a vintage one.
Hands down, an old book. Can't beat that with a stick.
I have had some great experiences with old books. Usually I would buy an old book if it was one of the classics or one I read a long time ago but never had a copy. I have found old love letters; grocery lists; old photos; and on occassion a five or ten dollar bill in old books.
Hi Roy! Old books are cool; they can potentially hold a ton of pretty useful information. However, they can also be host to all sorts of bacteria and I definitely wouldn’t like to catch any of these! I would rather get a brand-new book, it will certainly be clean and safe!
