About three months. I had already paid for the lost book when I finaly found it.
A book I rented out was overdue by 9 years, thankfully they wiped my card clean and did not charge me.
I finally found one that I swore was brought back like in 2009! LOL! Wooops! I keep meaning to bring it back..... I just have no time..... The library it came from is in another city! O_O
Yes I've done this a lot. It is different for each type of library. Public libraries made me pay every time I brought something back late. College libraries however don't make me pay anything as long as I return the book in one piece.
I work at a library yet I routinely forget to turn books from my own library in for months at a time /:
Yes several times.
My older brother had been visiting and checked out some books under my name. We only realized when he visited us two years later that he had taken the books back with him and forgot to return them! The library thought it had been me ):
Yes, of course. I guess everyone can relate to this situation. The books that I borrow are overdue on multiple occasions.
The longest time was when I kept the book “The Fault in Our Stars” with me for two months. However, the
librarian was very friendly, so
he did not charge me.
