Meanwhile, here is the Peace Arch at the international border, entering British Columbia from Blaine Washington...I grew up with this, and have always loved it. A park surrounds the arch, and you can stop and relax. The US side of the arch says, "CHILDREN OF A COMMON MOTHER," and the Canadian side says, "BRETHREN DWELLING TOGETHER IN PEACE."

The eggs are aid in mudbeds in the early fall, and will hatch mid-winter as pucklings to forage for syrup amongst the elk.
