I have no idea.  But when I was assigned "Billy Bud," it was such a bore it felt like it would never end!

Probably one of Tom Clancy's books or a couple of Stephen King's ! Both could write some pretty long ones !

Gormenghast by Mervyn Peake.

An odd book with no real plot, no ending (with any meaning).

Pointless characters are introduced and then forgotten.

Mini-plots that go nowhere, and you can't work out why.

It's strangely enjoyable though (if you have a month or two to spare).

I found both to be fascinating.

The Bible . .

The first time as a believer.

The second time I read it was as an atheist . . . It seemed longer that time.

Well, no wonder you missed so much if you didn't use Aramaic.

I am sure you can recite it for me as one whom cases their life upon it . . . Go ahead and give me the highlights . . be careful of any "Spoilers" though.
