The message given out by Gulliver's Travels is as relevant today as during the times when it was originally written. Gulliver's Travels discusses human fallibility and flaws in a very symbolic manner. We think highly of ourselves as a species but in reality our greed and violent natures make us no better than animals whom he represented as 'Yahoos' in the books. The cruelty that we inflict, also the wars that we fight are usually born out of our personal avarice and irrational reasons which could easily be avoided. It's just that when our egos get the better of us we tend to lose all rationality and give in to aggression.
