The colours that you choose to paint the rooms of a house largely depend on what mood you wish each room to express.
I have a few recommendations about what colours usually fit a room best, dependent on what the room is used for.
Kitchen
- Warming colours like red, orange, yellow have been known to stimulate your appetite, therefore would be perfect in a room such as the kitchen.
- Blue can go well in kitchens as it can represent cleanliness, making it an attractive place to cook.
- White is an energising colour, and seeing as most people go to their kitchen first thing in the morning to get a coffee, the crispness of the white may work just as well as the coffee to wake you up!
Bathroom
- When it comes to bathrooms, blue is the obvious colour choice, as it represents water and cleanliness.
- Yellow is a beautiful colour for a bathroom, as not only is it warm and happy, but also can add an touch of luxury.
- White is always an option for a bathroom, as this way you can play around with brighter colours for accessories.
Bedroom
- Light blues and purples can give a calming effect that will help you relax and fall asleep at night.
- Pink can be soothing and is the colour of love, so could be perfect if you are sharing the room with someone special.
- Yellow and orange are the colours of happiness, when you open your eyes in the morning the bright colour can instantly make you feel better about things.
