This story is about a lion who was walking in a forest one day when a thorn gets stuck in his paw. Sometime later he sees a shepherd who takes the thorn out of the lions paw. The lion then returns to the forest. Soon after this the shepherd is accused of a crime, his punishment is to fight in an arena with lions. However when the lion is released he recognises the shepherd as the one who mended his paw. When the king saw this he released the lion and freed the shepherd.
