Caesar became mad with power and was controlling all of Rome. Brutus and the rest of the council killed him on the ides of march (middle of march- unlucky day). His last words were kai su technon (even you my son) in Greek because Brutus was like a son to Caesar and Brutus was the only person in the room at the time of his death that knew Greek. Shakespeare said it was et tu Brute (even you Brutus) in Latin, but that is wrong and Shakespeare is a liar.
