Both, Portia and Calpurnia do love their respective husbands, but there are some major differences in their characters. Calpurnia is weak minded and is easily influenced by omens. She tries to warn Caesar about the dangers of his going out, but she does not have any force in her words. As a result, Caesar ignores her plea and goes to the senate house.Portia is more assertive than Calpurnia.Portia is strong-willed, dignified and asserts her right to know her husband's innermost secrets. She is a brave woman. She says that she is not an ordinary woman as she is Cato's daughter and Brutus' wife. And hence, she says, she can keep secrets. But in the end she commits suicide as she is not able to bear her husband's grief. Her bravery, dignity, determination and assertive nature makes her totally different from Calpurnia.

I believe that they both represent special meaning in the story. Over all I would pick Portia because she has more active hold in her situations then Calpurnia. If Portia would of had more time and situations were different things might of worked out differently.
Hope this helped a little
