A miller and his young son were leading their donkey to market. As they walked along, a farmer passed and laughed at them, because they had a good, strong animal to ride but chose to walk instead. Annoyed, the miller got on the donkey himself. He rode along fro a while, until they met a woman who scolded him for letting his poor child walk while he rode in comfort. So the miller put his son on the donkey and walked himself. Then they met a schoolmaster, who complained that it was typical of the youth of today, for a strong healthy boy to ride while his father walked. After that they both rode it, until they were attacked for cruelty to animals. Finally the miller slung the donkey over a pole and they tried to carry it. They all fell in the river, when the miller at last decided that it really is best not to try to please everyone.

Listen to yourself, because you can't please everyone in the world and be what they want you to be. Its a great STORY of human nature.
