Macbeth has no plan to defeat the forces of Malcolm now coming against him at Dunsinane, for the witches have told him that 'no man of woman born, shall harm Macbeth', unfortunately, Macbeth does not know that Macduff was born of Caesarian section, and therefore not strictly'of woman', confident in his own Achillean invincibility, Macbeth strides into battle, killing Siward, the son of the English commander, before coming up against Macduff, who kills him.
