Dear Nina,

I remember VERY well in childhood, hands-down favourite colour RED!

Now it's softer shades of ivory, wedgewood blue, mauve, certain woods like maple and birch.

And the reason for the change? Well...I get to be a little old lady now, with little-old-lady colours!

(I still do wear lots of red, though.)

I think my favourite colour used to be blue, then I had a phase of my favourite being black, and now it's dark purple :)

I always liked red when I was a kid and when I started my working career it changed to candy apple red.

It seemed to be the most popular when I was doing restorations. Also one of the most expensive and time consuming. Sometimes it would take me all night and day to paint one that was in pieces. Hard work !

I started school in the middle of WWII and there were so many shortages that life could be pretty drab. But in my first year we often used those lovely, glossy, colourful kindergarten squares of paper. They captivated me and I still remember the pleasure when I occasionally see them now, 75 years later.

I'd never dye my beard orange or green but I do still enjoy bright colours.

IT was Red, which is one of the primary colors . . .

Now it is Black, which is ALL the colors.

I was agreeing with you that black can be considered a color.

I know but it appears it applies only to the Subtractive theory . . :)
Just clarifying.

That article suggests that if someone questions you, ask them what color is in a can of black paint?

Pink, it was originally pink, then it was blue, but I think that was more because of peer pressure, and I secretly liked pink, and now I don't carer about peer pressure as much as I did before, and my favourite colour is pink.
