Hazel - depending on what you wear will determine what color they will be - usually green or brown, sometimes a combination of both.

It could be my computer but your eye appears golden. My wife has hazel eyes that do change intensity and hue with her mood and physical well being. She has gone from a powder blue to intense emerald green.

I once met a Wendish gypsy who told me to "beware of women with golden eyes". I looked at hers and saw they were a little darker than yours and said, "Your eyes are brown."

So she took me outside into the sunlight and I spent a delightful five minutes just staring into her eyes. Sure enough they had turned to golde in the sunlight -- a kind of Queen Midas effect.

I think yours might do the same. You have every right to feel pleased about them -- they're very pretty. Try not to be too pleased. It's unbecoming. ;-)
