I'm a morning person. I love to get up while it's still dark and everything is so quiet and peaceful. In the hot Summer, I like to get up early and go out and swim a while to wake up and loosen up. I love the early morning.

I like when it's dark. So I like to stay up all night and go to bed once the sun comes up.

During the summer I switch it a little and go to bed earlier so I can wake up before the sun comes up. That way I can eat breakfast and stuff before swim team practice.

Sorry for not answering this question directly, but I like a bit of both. What I really don't like is the part in between - when it's not quite morning, but the sun has already started coming up.

This might seem strange because, to a lot of people, that's a beautiful part of the day.

I think my dislike for that part of day is largely due to my younger years, when I used to go out partying with friends until the morning.

The sun rising was a sign that the night was coming to a close, my head was usually beginning to hurt by then.

Also, when I lived in London, that part of the day was the worst for public transport in my opinion, because the "tube" was still closed, but the night buses would die down in terms of frequency, so getting back home around that time often involved a long journey!

But yeah.. Back to the question. I do like early morning starts for some reason. I feel energetic and fresh, and usually if I get up early in the morning, then it's because something interesting is going on that day... Like catching a flight from the airport.

Night-time is also pretty cool. There's nothing more beautiful than looking out onto the town in the dead of night, under the glow of the full moon.

We're pretty lucky where we live, because we can see a Cathedral and a castle lighting up the horizon.

I prefer the night as it casts a great atmosphere in stories and usally the morning just shows the aftermath of what crazy events transpired during the night. A good example is a lot of endings of the batman games.
