Beats the point of reading. But if you want the intricate details of the remaining of the story it is worth reading it. Reading never hurts. If the book is interesting enough than in my opinion you should read it.

You should definitely read it. Reading isn't solely about the ending, it's also about pleasure, dreaming and relishing literature

Definitely read it! Something can be gained from every reading experience and the ending is only a small percentage of the author's intent. If the book is a good one, it shouldn't matter what has been relayed to you second hand. Hope it's a good one!
