Silk is a natural fibre spun by the caterpillar of the silkworm moth. It uses this fibre to spin a coccoon, which can be washed and unravelled to make silk thread, from which silk fabric is woven. It's an entirely natural product.
I suppose both really? Silk is a thread made (by man) from the fibre made by the larva of a moth ,called a silkworm I believe. It will be interesting to read what other blurters answer.
Natural , spiders make it
Silk Fabric is man made fiber not making from natural fiber.
