I think that it is a cute fairytale. There are many lessons that parents can discuss with their children while reading that story. Ask lots of questions to get their understanding of the story, about the characters and what happens in the story. What do you think will happen next? How do you think they felt? What would you have done? What were they trying to do? Why do you think people called him "Grumpy"? It's a great story to read to them and they will love to read it when they are able to read.
