I really don't think a teacher should quit her job as a teacher just because she is pregnant... I believe teachers could get time off during last semester and I believe up to 12 weeks after baby is born...and her job will be still available when able to go to work... But I don't know really are you going to give up all that just to have a baby... Ok that is your choice... Well if you know what day you want to quit I would give at lease 6 weeks notice..but by law you got to give 2 weeks notice... Write a letter to the staff of the school you are teaching at ... Then in letter let them know that you are wanting to let them know that it was great working with them and you have decided that teaching is not for you and you want to move on to a different career in the future.. And say in letter you want to work for the next few weeks until they find a placement for you and give them a day you want off... But before the letter talk to principle or chief of hire and see what they could do about talking to you on what you want to do... Well good luck and congratulations
