A sculpture is something that you make out of material such as wood or metal; you "sculpt" the material by changing its shape, by carving or other means. An installation is basically a display. It may or may not include sculpture; it's usually created from different media including video etc. You can actually create an installation without "making" anything, ie just by arranging different objects.
